Pipe Fabrication |
IPPC prides itself on having a fully automated pipe fabrication shop, with highly qualified and dedicated welders and pipe fitters. IPPC, as a mechanical contractor, realizes that pipe fabrication prior to installation promotes higher quality, cost savings; and reduces man-hours in the field - which has a positive impact on scheduling requirements. IPPC has an 18,000 sq ft shop with 2 bays that are 150' long. Each bay has a 10 ton over head crane. The bays are set up to effectively prepare, cut, fit-up and weld out piping spools in the most productive manner, and to the highest QC standards. This is accomplished with an automated cutting operation, a large cut off saw, pneumatic bevel equipment, welding positioners / turning rolls, auto/semi automatic mig / flux core units, automatic submerged arc, and bulk gas systems for purging and cutting. IPPC can fabricate carbon steel, chrome moly, stainless steel, and most exotic alloys. All shop welding procedures, and welder operators are qualified to the requirements of ASME section IX. IPPC has a shop quality control manual and a full time QC inspector. |
